Kircher next installed a chairlift in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  Gatlinburg SkyLift opened in 1954 and remains among the Smoky Mountain region's most iconic attractions.  In the early 1960s, ÃÛÖTV began growing its operations in Michigan, soon expanded to Montana and now has operations in seven states within the U.S. and also operates in Canada.
